Kāhui Ako ASL hui with Sarah Johns

Our Kāhui Ako Across School Leads met with Sarah Johns, University of Waikato and an ASL with Nelson City Community of Learning Kāhui Ako, on Friday, 13 September 2019, at Wellington High School. The focus of the hui was on gaining clarity around the role of the ASL and how best to:

• get into schools, and manage influence across different schools,
• develop strong positive working relationships with community, and
• ​walk the leadership journey in your own school.

It was great to work with someone experienced in this role and in the role of supporting other Kāhui Ako members to build our collective understandings, and engaging in dialogue, putting into practice the  principles of responsive pedagogy.
