Our Kāhui Ako needs to be grounded in our local history and knowledge of our past as we look to the future. One of our challenges focuses on cultural capability and the importance of all our learners being able to connect themselves to the curriculum.
So, it was a wonderful opportunity, on 25 October, for a number of our Across School Leads, Within Schools Leads and staff to visit Pukeahu Education centre to hear Morrie Love, Te Atiawa and Chair of Wellington Tenths Trust, tell his stories of Pukeahu and the development of what is now the modern War Memorial Park.
